Share your proudest achievements and how were you able to realise them.
I believe getting the internship in itself was a very proud moment for me. Not many people were selected for it and the interview consisted of many technical questions.
During the internship, I took every day as a challenge and did all the tasks assigned to me before the deadline. I was able to gather knowledge about technologies that were unfamiliar to me. Completing all the tasks at the end of the day was an achievement for me.
Also learning about how to keep up the pace of my work and daily learning and working on new things was quite adventurous and exciting for me.
I have also earned an incentive for excellent performance.
What are the top learnings, skills and values that you acquired here?
In this internship, I was exposed to some new technologies and was required to understand them in a minimal amount of time and start using them in my project. This exposure helped me a lot in increasing my mental strength and also helped me in improving my grasping and understanding power.
I got to work upon my debugging skills and now I can debug codes correctly in a lesser amount of time. I worked in a very friendly environment which allowed me to give my best towards the project.
I got to improve my various soft skills which are very important such as Leadership, Adaptability, Flexibility, Teamwork, Strategic Thinking, Problem-solving and Communication.
Do you feel this experience is a stepping stone towards success in life? Illustrate how the experience gained will help you going forward in your career.
Yes, of course, this experience would be a stepping stone towards success in life. This internship experience has helped me learn very useful skills that are required in today’s technology boomed world when everything has gone digital, be it learning or executing our day to day tasks. I think after this experience I am much more confident, better exposed and more professional.
I have experienced working in a team in the corporate world and also have understood the concept of time management at a deeper level. I have got to learn some fascinating technologies which will be helpful in my future endeavours. The skills which I have gained during my internship will help me a lot in building my overall personality and will help me a lot in excelling my work at the professional level.
What is your advice to those, who are aspiring the same or a similar internship?
My advice is to remain confident, work hard and never give up. One should constantly work on improving his/her skills and should always keep on learning new things daily.
One should try to implement a practical approach and should always try to gain more and more knowledge when participating in these kinds of internships as this will help them in the better and faster understanding of concepts.
How can we (Friends, Family, YI Fraternity) encourage young students such as yourself to involve themselves in different opportunities?
Support from someone makes life easier. I have always got support from my family and friends because of which I am to take up and complete the challenges easily. We can provide support by showing our faith in them, motivating and encouraging them in their tough times. This could be done through one to one talks, through different mediums like articles, posts on Instagram, Facebook, Videos and many more things.
Anything else would you like to say to the YI learners who’ll be reading your experience?
Try to have a practical approach toward things.
